I had a major emergency with my cat today. He was dying. My vet closed at noon. A few hours before. The emergency vet by the airport wasn't fully open and the staff didn't help me. They were only open for allergy shots. They couldn't recommend the closest vet for help. The answer I got was "That is a good question." Nothing more. I remembered Cherry Point from driving by it often. I've never taken my pets there. They welcomed us immediately with open arms and urgency. Dr. Bottcher and her tech Lanie are a true blessing. They were so very kind to us. They talked to us, soothed us, cried with us and hugged us as we said goodbye to my cat, Gizmo. They were so very good to him before he passed. I couldn't have found a better vet today. I absolutely trust them with my pets. If my family vet isn't open, I'll be going to this place. That gives me such relief.
When I called (new patient) to make an appointment, my call was picked up on the second ring by a human receptionist. (Hasn’t happened at my prior vet’s office in years). The receptionist was knowledgeable about my dog’s complaint and made me an appointment that very day. When we came to the appointment, we found that the waiting area was clean, spacious and homelike (easier on the dog!) Plenty of room so that if your dog and another person’s dog were too interested in each other you could move to another area. I arrived “just on time” for appointment, and I’m spite of having to Fill out a brief information sheet, we were put in a room within 10 minutes of scheduled appt. Vet tech came in and took history; veterinarian came in, listened to all my concerns and did a thorough physical exam on my dog. As I had anticipated my pet needed some blood work and some meds. Cost for the Visit was comparable to what I have paid for similar complexity of Visit in the past. I was so pleased with the experience, and plan to change care for all of my pets to this practice.
Couldn't ask for a more caring and sincere staff. They genuinely care about our little Chug, Samson. He is part of our family and Cherry Point treats and cares for him just like I would want to be treated when I go to the doc.
Very friendly and helpful! Quick service and reasonably priced. They really care about your animals and take time to explain things to you. 5/5 recommend. I will be switching my other animals to Cherry Point from now on.
Dr. Cherry and his staff could not have been kinder or more compassionate during the last week of our furbaby's life. We greatly appreciate their professionalism and empathy as we were a referral and not a regular client. They were wonderful during a most difficult time.
